2016 Junior Sailing Program

Are you 7 to 15 years old?

Do you want to sail on the Mersey??

If so, the take sailing lessons at Brooklyn Marina, have fun, and learn the ways of the Sea.

Session 1: July 6‐July 15 (10 straight days)

Session 2: July 18‐July 29 (M-F)

Session 3: Aug 1‐Aug 12 (M-F)

Session 4: Aug 15‐Aug 26 (M-F)


$130 for Brooklyn Marina Members

Short term dock rental

Six docks suitable only for boats 20 feet or less are currently available for short term rental by QRBA members for $3 per day. For further information, contact Roy Payzant, QRBA Director, at either or 902-354-4545.

sail lessons for children from lower income families

The Queens Recreational Boating Association (Brooklyn Marina) has recently received funding from Sports Nova Scotia for children aged 8-15 who are interested in learning to sail and who are from lower income families. The session is two weeks from 9AM to 12noon August 3-14. Children must be able to swim, have a Transport Canada approved life jacket and water shoes to protect feet.
